This is the opportunity to experiment with materials and to adapt and combine techniques to produce personalised and independent artworks. For those able to produce paintings independently or who have completed an intermediate course. Under the guidance of a professional artist students will work on specialised projects incorporating painting techniques and materials. We will be using the Winson & Newton Professional Acrylic paint range. Classes restricted to 16 or less.
You will need to have paid in full before the first session of your class. Your place is not guaranteed until we have received full payment. Please book early in order to guarantee your place on the course.
Liane Lang is a mixed media artist and has been teaching students at B.A. and M.A. Level since her graduation from Goldsmiths College B.A. Fine Art and The Royal Academy Schools. Her work focusses on objects and spaces of memory and memorialisation and the animacy of figurative art. She was a scholarship recipient at Fundación Bilbao Arte in Spain in 2019 and artist in residence at Eton College and the Bogliasco Foundation in 2016. Her most recent solo exhibition was at Lian Zhou International Festival in China in 2019 and at James Freeman Gallery in London in 2018.

What should I bring? All materials are supplied but wear old clothes!
Is there storage? we can store works as necessary for the duration of the course. Artwork must be taken home at the end of the course or it will be disposed of.
What about refreshments? Tea and coffee will be available on class breaks. Our bar will open immediately after Saturday classes.
Is there disabled access? Yes, Elephant West has disabled access.
Health and Safety: Guidelines will be provided to you at the beginning of your class.
